Trainee Medical Officer positions

TMO Positions (PGY2+, Prevocational) opportunities across SA Health

SA Health has a centralised approach to receiving applications for any additional Trainee Medical Officer (PGY2+, Prevocational) vacancies, managed through SA MET. If you wish to be considered for a prevocational role in any health unit in SA Health you are required to submit an application via an online application process.

To access the online application form please logon to the SA Health Careers website www.health.sa.gov.au/careers, click on the SA Health Medical Recruitment Tile, and open the Trainee Medical Officers link where you will find additional information and the online application form for Prevocational Trainee Medical Officer (PGY2+) Recruitment. The positions relevant to WCHN that are included in this process are;

  • General Training
  • Paediatrics (6 months) & Obstetrics and Gynaecology (6 months)
  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology (12 months)

In addition to the above, the following positions are also advertised through www.health.sa.gov.au/careers as separate positions that you will need to submit a separate application for;

  • Paediatric 1st Year Trainee
  • Surgical Resident Medical Officer

All other positions such as RACP Training positions (Basic & Advanced) and various Fellow positions, will all be advertised via www.health.sa.gov.au/careers.
