Person and Family-Centred Care Recognition Awards

The Women's and Children's Health Network aims to provide an open, kind and positive healthcare experience for our consumers and families. The Network has embraced the principle of Person and Family-Centred Care as outlined in our WCH page link iconcharter. Our consumers are invited to recognise outstanding healthcare provision by a staff member from any of our teams.

How can consumers and caregivers nominate a staff member?

All consumers and caregivers can nominate a staff member by completing the nomination form:

What will happen?

  1. Each Month, every staff member will receive a certificate acknowledging their nomination. Staff member names will be broadcast on WCH televisions, appear in corporate documents and consumer memo.
  2. One staff member, from those nominated, will be recognised as the Person and Family-Centred Care Staff Member of the Month.
  3. Each year, one staff will be recognised as the Person and Family-Centred Care Staff Member of the year by our Chief Executive Officer and consumer co-chair of the Person and Family-Centred Care Network Steering Group.
