WCH Foundation Professor Geoffrey Davidson Paediatric Research Fellowship

The Professor Geoffrey Davidson Paediatric Research Fellowship was established in 2014 in honour of Professor Geoffrey Davidson, the founding Head of the Gastroenterology Unit at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He has had a long and productive medical and research career, and is an Emeritus Professor of the Discipline of Paediatrics, University of Adelaide.

This Fellowship is offered annually to WCHN only non-medical staff to support professional development leading to future research and/or research activities with a paediatric focus (i.e. dealing with the care/treatment of diseases involving infants, children and adolescents ranging in age from birth up to 18 years), including travel to a conference to present research outcomes or research collaboration, and who wish to undertake such an activity in Australia or overseas. For those wishing to apply to attend a conference, preference will be given to an applicant who is presenting their research at the conference.

The value of the Fellowship is up to $6,000.

Applicants are required to refer to the Conditions of award before completing the Application Form. All application forms must be signed as stated. The successful applicant will be required to enter into a contract for the duration of the award.
