Consultation on changes to CAMHS proposed organisational structure
Update on changes to CAMHS proposed organisational structure
The formal consultation period regarding the changes to CAMHS proposed organisational structure has closed. We would like to thank everyone who provided feedback and comments about the proposed structure. Over 90 CAMHS staff participated in Information Sessions and 30 pieces of feedback were received from staff and key partners (including consumers and carers). We are now working our way through the feedback to identify key themes to inform the next steps. A decision about the final CAMHS structure and implementation process will be made at the earliest opportunity.
CAMHS have undertaken an extensive process of consultation and engagement to develop and seek feedback on the proposed CAMHS service redesign, which includes changes to the organisational structure, model of care, and some aspects of service delivery. Over 340 pieces of feedback were received and have subsequently been considered.
Prior to a final decision being made about the proposed new structure, we are consulting further on proposed key changes to the structure made in response to the feedback received.
This additional consultation stage is an important milestone in CAMHS' journey towards a structure which supports consistently delivering a high standard of contemporary care to infants, children, adolescent, women in the perinatal period and their families with mental health needs across the state.
A summary of the consultation process and the subsequent feedback is available in the Consultation Report:
